A patriotic and sentamental Wedding Day
Jen pulled more family history into her wedding day than any other bride I've worked with. She wanted to honor the military service of her new husband as well as other family members. Their cocktail hour at the Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA featured a vintage military theme with telegrams for escort cards and war time letters on the table written by family members. Jen also hired an antique car, the same one her grandparents used to get away from their wedding. Jen rode to the ceremony in the car and she and Bill rode in it from the ceremony to a few locations in Alexandria for pictures. It was a really hot day, the car didn't have AC and Bill was in a wool uniform. But they say those moments alone in the antique car were some of their favorite memories of the day. This moment is their first toast as husband and wife before even leaving the church. They are celebrating the beginning of so many moments and memories to come. Jen's bouquet was made by Holly Chapple, a premier Washington DC florist based in Leesburg, Virginia, and her dress is from Kleinfelds in New York City. Jen fully embraced the wedding experience, she had waited a long time to meet the man of her dreams. And her day was quite long, but each moment was beautiful and meaningful.Location: Alexandria, Virginia.
