Beautiful Bride - Twice - River Farm, Alexandria, VA
As I got to know Courtney, we seemed to have a lot in common. And it turns out we even have the same birthday! I'm just a *few* years older. Courtney also choose one of my very favorite wedding venues, River Farm. We both love trees and Courtney and Chris were married under one of the most historic trees. And Osage Orange tree that was a gift form Thomas Jefferson to George Washington. River Farm was once part of George Washington's farmland on the Potomac River in Alexandria, VA. Courtney's dress had an ease about it (though hard to wear for anyone that's not as in shape as this marathon runner), and fit Courtney's style so well. The colorful garden flower bouquet was fresh and sweet and fitting of an outdoor garden wedding. I love this picture taken as she's getting ready for the day with her mom and bridesmaids in the parlor at River Farm. I wanted to capture how beautiful Courtney was on her wedding day, so she can always remember how great she looked and how happy she was at that moment. Rain threatened but didn't start during the ceremony. However, the after ceremony portraits were taken in the rain! Courtney and Chris were incredible sports and trusted that I'd get great pictures regardless. With the help of my assistant and the wedding coordinator, we did! I am so invested in my client's story, and want their day to be perfect. Often the weather isn't perfect, but with a great attitude the day is still amazing, and most importantly they are married. And they have beautiful pictures to tell the story. And we all have wonderful memories.Location: River Farm - Alexandria, VA.
