When a blended family comes together on a wedding day, there are so many emotions and so many relationships to celebrate. This couple is deeply supportive of each other and so intentional about their relationship and the relationships with and between the children too. It was an incredible celebration to witness. While this picture shows the love of the couple, it's a representation of the whole family. How much it means to them all to become one family. But even so, a bride wants to feel beautiful. And you can tell she does. The lace bodice top with boat neckline and 3/4 sleeves was just stunning. And the buttons that continued all the way down the back of the floor length A line skirt too. So classy and lovely and romanic and flattering. The flowers in rich fall hues of purples and wines were the perfect bridal bouquet. The location was Musket Ridge Golf Club in Maryland and the mountain views were spectacular. It was an unusually cold and windy day so the outdoor ceremony was moved inside but a wall of windows allowed everyone to enjoy the view never the less. And the windows also provided gorgeous light for beautiful wedding portraits. As a wedding photographer I always love when my couples have ideas for pictures and are willing to trust me too. The results is a moment captured that will always remind her of how beautiful she felt, him of how lucky he is, and both of them how special the day was that they combined their families. It's always an honor as a wedding photographer to be chosen to tell the wedding day story through my eyes. And even more special when the bride is a photographer too. We met many years ago when we were photographing a few weddings together and have kept in touch. What a joy to be the one to photograph this wedding day! And family pictures before and many more to come!
